Gymnastics

When we moved we put the girls into gymnastics.  They LOVE going to gymnastics.  It doesn't matter where we are and what we are doing they are always doing tricks.  Our home has turned into a gym.  It is so fun to watch them.  I am just waiting for an injury.  They have learned how to do a lot of tricks and moves so far.

Happy Birthday!

We had such a great time celebrating Rodrigo's birthday this year.  Over the weekend we went to this amazing Mexican Restaurant.  They had a live Mariachi Band that played while we ate and the food was so yummy.  The kids decorated the house to surprise Rodrigo when he came home from work.  They did such a great job.  The Elders also were here to celebrate with us.  We love them.  I decided to make a camping cake.  Rodrigo LOVES to camp.

Play Group at Krispy Kreme's

Wednesday our playgroup went to Krispy Kreme's for a tour.  It was fun and the kids really seemed to enjoy it.  I think I did as well watching the doughnuts go threw that delicious glaze.  We even took Rodrigo and the kids back later that night to show them what we experienced.  We stopped at the mall afterwards and let the kids play in the little play place they have.  Here is Duncan and Maya doing the KSL Channel 5 news.  What a fun day.

Fun in the Sun

Last Sunday was a gorgeous day!  Finally the weather we have been waiting for.  We had so much fun playing outside most of the day.  We got in a few soccer games, a few games of flush and horse (I haven't played those games since I was younger) and we got in some T Ball lessons with Lexi since she will be starting here in about a month.  Lets just say my 8 year old defeated me for the day in everything we did.  I even got the bright idea to take my dad for a stroll in the wheelchair so he could catch some rays himself.  We went on a little walk while the kids had fun on there bikes and scooters.  It was so great spending some much needed family time.

Blue and Gold Banquet

Friday we attended our first ever Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts.  It was a lot of fun.  Every year they have a cake contest.  The rules are only the male gender can help with the cake.  No moms, Grandmas, Aunts, etc can help.  It was a lot of fun watching my boys get so into it.  They did such a great job.  The theme was Carnival.  So they decided to make a Ferris Wheel cake.  Everything on the cake had to be edible. They had a cake walk and each of the boys got to take home a different cake.   They had lots of food, fun and games for the boys.  Roderick is really doing great in Scouts and has received lots of awards so far.  Way to go Buddy!! Keep up the Good Work.

Presidents Day!

Yesterday Rodrigo had the day off for Presidents day so we decided to do some fun activities. We decided to take the kids to the movie.  Apparently Presidents  Day is the busiest day of the year at the Kaysville Theater.  The manager came into the theater to remind us that  the best days to see a movie is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  We had a good time even though we were 3 rows from the front.  After the movie we grabbed some lunch and then headed down to the ponds to feed the ducks.  We had some old bread that I couldn't bare throwing away so off we went to see the ducks.  The kids were totally excited until they realized that the ducks were coming out of the water to eat the bread right out of there hands.  So basically it was Rodrigo feeding the ducks while the kids tried to shew them away. =) It was pretty hilarious.

Busy Baking

I have had the opportunity to make some cupcakes and cakes for some birthdays and the YW New Beginnings in the ward.  I absolutely love it.  Here are some pictures of what I have done. I am far from being great at it but any chance I get to practice is an awesome opportunity to get better at it.  I decided to also put some pictures of the ones I did last year as well since I wasn't blogging then.  Next goal is to learn how to take better pictures of my creations.
