Christmas Downtown
Our friend Ramon came to visit us once more from Mexico. We were hoping that it would snow while he was here, he has only seen the snow a few times in his whole lifetime. He arrived on Thanksgiving and stayed with us for just about a week. We weren't lucky enough to see snow but we did take him to the very top of Big Cotton Wood canyon to see a little bit of snow. He really enjoyed his stay. We took him downtown to see the lights at Temple Square he couldn't believe how amazing and beautiful it was. The kids also really enjoyed looking at the lights but it was a bit chilly outside. I love going downtown during Christmas it really gives me the Christmas spirit. We also went to the gateway and watched people running through the fountain, they were having a blast but I thought they were crazy!
Enjoying the Weather!
On Saturday we went up to my moms to help out in the yard since she had surgery on her shoulder and my dad wasn't feeling to well. I couldn't believe that I was out racking leaves in December and not feeling cold. It was so nice to have the kids outside playing and taking in the sunshine. We had a good time jumping in the leaves and being with Grandma and Grandpa.

Happy Birthday Roderick!
Today Roderick turned 5 years old. Last year his little sister decided she wanted to join us for his birthday party so she decided to come 3 weeks early and was born the day before his birthday. He thought that was a great birthday present. He had a fun birthday party in moms hospital room. He was really excited to share his birthday with her this year. We will see how excited he is when he gets bigger. I think its going to be a real challenge as a mom. We will see how it goes as the years go by. He got a new bike for his birthday and says that he goes so fast on it that fire comes out of the back tire. We love you! Happy Birthday!

Weekend Getaway
This last weekend Rodrigo and I flew out to Las Vegas for a much needed weekend getaway. One of Rodrigos best freinds is an actor in Mexico and is directing a TV program in LA right now so Ramon and his sister with some other freinds drove to meet up with us in Vegas. We got tickets to see Stomp Out Loud. It was amazing, we have seen it 3 times now and everytime we have seen it, it is different which makes us want to keep seeing it. We also went shopping at the outlets and ate some amazing food. We had a lot of good laughs and didn't get much sleep. We stayed up Friday night for over 24 hours. It killed me but I survived. I don't think I have stayed up like that since High School. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa they took all 3 kids for the weekend. Thanks again Mom and Dad, the kids love staying at your house its a vacation for them. I hope we can go again soon and see our freinds from Mexico. I miss them already. We really cheerish our freindship with them and we want to say thanks for a great trip we love you guys and miss you.

Surprise!!!
On Saturday we surprised Roderick and Lexie by taking them to the Greatest Show on Earth, The Circus. We had told Roderick on Friday that we had a surprise for him on Saturday and he was going to love it. When we got to the Energy Solutions building and found our seats he still didn't know where he was or what was going on until it started and the elephants and horses and clowns ect started coming out and he had the biggest smile on his face ever. He started yelling and waving his arms around saying yeah the circus. I havn't been to the circus for years so I didn't really know what to expect, but it was awesome. I felt like a little kid again watching all the acts and animales. The kids loved it and it was fun to watch them because of the expressions on there faces. Lexi just kept saying,"Mom, Look Mom Look" there was so much going on.

What a Mess!!
So we were driving in the car and the kids were having a snack in the back seat. Lexie is in the middle with Maya and Roderick by her side. All of a sudden Lexie is crying and saying Maya Snack, Maya Snack and we didn't know what she was talking about because Maya is still riding backwards in a her car seat and we can't really see her very well. We pulled in the garage and opened the doors and just started laughing because apparently Maya grabbed a handful of Lexies Chocolate Cake and was enjoying every bit of it. She had a big smile on her face until it was all gone and she started to cry because it was all gone. I guess that just goes to show that Women will do anything for Chocolate no matter what age we are.

Crazy Hat Day
Roderick has conqered 2 weeks of preschool. He attends West Valley Elementary every day for 3 hours. He is loving it and learning alot. On Thursday I went to pick him up from school and they had made crazy hats. As soon as I got out into the parking lot I took his picure. He said mom can't we wait until we get home? As you can see I was probably embarrassing him infront of everyone. I guess that is what us moms are for.

Vacation to Mexico
We went on our family vacation to Mexico to visit Mama Lety (grandma) and Aunt Danny. They live in Guadalajara Mexico. We were blessed to stay down there for 2 weeks to visit lots of family and freinds. We celebrated Rodrigo and his moms birthday while we were there. And it was a party. Great food and dancing all night long. If you can imagine. Rodrigo and I went out with his freinds one night to the movie and we went VIP. In the theater you had your own waiter, recliner chairs, they served sushi and gourmet meals. It was hilarious and it was only $6.00 for 2 of us. Wouldn 't it be nice if we could go see a movie for that price these days? The kids had fun playing outside in the nice weather and with there cousins everyday. We also ate the best mexican food ever!! You cant beat walking to get a authentic churro everynight. Oh it was so good. We also went to Cancun for a week which was amazing. The kids loved the beach and it was so relaxing. We went to the Mayan Ruins and X-Carrott water park. All 5 of us floated down a snorkling river. Maya cried about half way, and then fell asleep. It was so fun. It was great visiting with the family, they really showed us a great time. I miss them so much already. I love mexico and can't wait until we go back next year.
Just me and my Dad
Roderick loves to play with our Wii and his favorite game is golf. He is getting really good at it so Rodrigo decided to take him to have the real experience. Roderick was so excited so they went to play 9 holes at a course that Rodrigo heard was very kid freindly. They even rented clubs just Rodericks size. He had so much fun. Rodrigo said he was just like the pros.
