Another trip to the zoo

While Rodrigo's mom was visiting we decided to take them to the zoo since we thought it was so fun the last time that we visited.  This visit was so much hotter than the first.  The kids were such troopers walking up and down the hills to see the animals. We had some fun using the zoo's hula hoops.  We missed the bird show this time which I was hoping to see again.  The kids had a good nap on the way home.

Summer Water Fun

The kids had a good time this summer on the water toy.  We have taught Roderick how to put it up so he can help since it is so big and can take some time.  It sure does help having an extra hand especially when Rodrigo is at work.  It is so fun cooling off from the hot hot sun!!!

Summer Sleep Over

While we had visitors from Mexico and visitors from Las Vegas we had a fun sleepover.  The kids stayed up a little to late but they were having so much fun playing school.  They had a teacher and they were learning all sorts of fun things.  They were also having groups and lunch and walking in lines down the hall. They even made it to the library.  It was so much fun watching them play together. They are all getting so big.  They even asked me to be the photographer for school pictures.  I sure wish we could see our family more but when we do it makes it that much more special.

Rodrigo's mom came and visited us this summer for a month.  We had so much fun with them.  We went to bear lake for a few days and camped.  Our camp ground was really nice and had it had it's own little beach. We had fun playing on the blow up beds that we got and making sand castles in the sand.  The kids played in the water as soon as the sun came up until it went back down.  The weather was really nice as well.  It was so nice being able to relax and enjoy each others company.  What a fun place to vacation.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jeff!

In July we celebrated my dad's birthday.  I made a baseball field cake for my dad.  It was fun getting together to celebrate.  My dad is the most amazing person I know.  I am so grateful for his example and the love for life that he shows daily.  Happy Birthday!

  

Happy Birthday J.D..

My cousin J.D. turned 40 this year and this is the cake and cupcakes I made for him.  He is a runner so I made a runner running up the trail in the mountain to his gravestone. =) This cake was so much fun to make.

Bubble Fun

One night while the kids were outside playing I pulled out some bubbles for them to blow.  They had so much fun and they were laughing so hard.  I loved watching them.  They had fun both blowing them and popping them.

Happy Fourth of July

 I didn't get many pictures of the fourth of July this year but I did snag a few of the kids in the Centerville Children's parade.  That has been a fun tradition for our family each year.

During the Summer My Sister in Law Liz came to visit for a few weeks so when my brother came to town  we took a trip to the zoo.  I was so impressed with the zoo since I had last visited.  The kids had such a great time.  We saw the new bear exhibit and the new Rocky Shores.  That was so much fun watching the polar bear swim. We even watched the bird show.  That was my favorite part of the zoo.  Those birds are amazing and so fun to watch.
