Alexandra turned 4 in June. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. We had a fun birthday party with family and Friends. We had tamales a pinata and had a good time swimming on the big blue water toy. Every year they have fire works for the city that weekend so Lexi thinks that they do them for her birthday. She loves it. Its a great way to end the day. Lexi will be starting preschool in about a month and she is so excited to go. She wakes up every morning asking if she gets to go to school today. She is filled with so much excitement and love for life. She is the little mother of our family. She is always putting everyone else first. Happy Birthday! We Love You!

Yellowstone
Its time to play catch up on the all the fun things we have done this summer. At the beginning of the summer we headed to Yellowstone. It was the first time all 5 of us ventured there. The kids did great driving there and loved seeing all of the animals. We got lucky this time and found 3 black bears. It was so fun to see them so close. I was a little nervous because when we arrived at the campground the guy told us to be careful because there were bears in the area. We usually stay in a cabin but this time we took my mom and dads pop up trailer. Lets just say I didn't sleep the whole time we were there. Rodrigo told me not to worry but I couldn't help it. The kids had fun going on hikes trying to find different animals.

Wheeler Farm

Yesterday Roderick had is Kindergarten field trip to wheeler farm. I was able to go with him and we had a blast. We got to see lots of animals and chase lots of ducks. After the farm we went to a huge castle park in West Jordan where we ate lunch and played for a while. Roderick had fun with his best buddies Chason and Ethan. I was able to get to know the moms a lot better who live near me. I look forward to hanging out with them more. I can't believe Roderick only has a few more weeks of school and will be moving on to 1st grade!

7 years
7 years ago today I was married to the most amazing man in this world. He is the light of my life and words cannot express how much I love him. It has been the best 7 years of my life. It seems like yesterday when we made eye contact at simmons and feel madly in love and 3 kiddos later here we are happier than ever.
Rodrigo brings the best out of me and helps me to see the bigger picture of things. He is so understanding and shows unconditional love for our family. He puts his family first for everything. He is a such a great husband and father. I could go on and on.... Thank you for the past 7 years, Happy Anniversary Honey I LOVE You!!!

Moab
This last weekend we took a weekend trip to Moab. My family of 5 hiked to the delicate Arch. I couldn't believe that all 5 of us actually made it to the end. As most of you know I have a pretty bad case of asthma. After seeing that mountain we had to climb I wasn't so sure I would make it but I saw my husband and kids and that motivated me more than anything. They never once complained. This was something I just had to accomplish. I can't describe the feeling I felt when we all made it to the top. I felt like I had conquered the world. We sat at the top for a while and had a small lunch then we headed back down the mountain and the girls started to get very tired. Rodrigo put Lexie on his shoulders and carried Maya more than half way down she actually fell asleep in his arms. I was so grateful for his strength and ability to help all of us on this hike. Roderick had no problem and was at the beginning of the line the entire time he loved it. We also took the kids fishing. I think we spent most of the time untangling fishing poles than we did having them in the water. Maybe next time we will get lucky and catch something. They have already asked it we could take them again this week. It was so nice to get out and enjoy the weather and be with the family.
Mothers Day!
I am posting this more for me than anyone else so I will never forgot how much planning went into this mothers day for me. About 3 weeks before Mothers Day Roderick said he had a great plan in store for me. It was going to be a better surprise than a birthday surprise. I was so excited. One day he asked me to make a phone list for him. He did all the work I just had to tell him the numbers. Soon I realized that he was calling these numbers daily to get the plan in order. He had my mom and dad and Rodrigo very busy helping him get prepared. He called the list once a day to remind everyone of what they were supposed to be doing. According to the people on the list he ideas changed daily and they weren't really sure what they were supposed to be doing but they agreed to help.About a week before Mothers Day he started to do the count down of how many days until Mothers Day. He kept telling me how stressed he was and worried that he was not going to be ready for the big day!
When I woke up on Mothers Day my kids came and pulled me out of bed and said we have a big surprise for you. They took me outside and showed me all of the flowers they had planted around my yard for me. They were beautiful. As I was getting ready for church I came out of the bathroom and my bed had been made by Roderick then he came in and gave me a big hug and kiss and presented me with a hand made card, coupon book, and a picture that he planned with him and his sisters taken at Target and they were holding the letters I Love You Mom. It is the most precious thing. He took great pride in this picture and told me that he did all the planning. (My mom was aked to take them). He then said please come down stairs I have made breakfast for you. It was the best bowl of cheerios I have ever had.
After church we headed to my moms for a special mothers day dinner. Roderick had planned shish Ka bobs (spelling). Rodrigo made wonderful shrimp ones and my mom made steak ones. A Salad and fruit was also planned by Roderick. After dinner the kids presented me with a wonderful heart shaped cake that my dad was asked to purchase. A great big thank you to all that helpled Roderick with his plan. It was the best Mothers Day ever! One that I will never forget. I love my husband and kids so much. I have lost the cord to my camera so I will have to post pictures later.
